This Privacy Policy explains how Webstario (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit webstario.com or contact us about our services. Webstario is a sole proprietorship owned by Nikita Sikka and based in New Delhi, India.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our website, we collect what you enter:
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number, subject and message.
- Free AI Growth Audit form: name, email address, phone number, website URL, business type, city, your main marketing challenge and message.
If you message or call us on WhatsApp or phone, or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit. This is used for security and to keep the website running. We do not currently use advertising pixels or third-party analytics tools on this website. If we add them in future, we will update this policy before doing so.
Information from client work. If you become a client, we may receive access to your website, Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, analytics, advertising and social media accounts. We use this access only to deliver the services you have engaged us for.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare your free audit or proposal.
- To deliver, report on and invoice for the services you engage us for.
- To keep our website secure and working properly.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you submit a form) and for legitimate uses permitted under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such as performing a contract with you or complying with law. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed to run our business or deliver your services:
- Service providers that host or support our website and communications, such as our web hosting provider, email provider and WhatsApp.
- Platforms you ask us to work on, such as Google, Meta or your website platform, when delivering services for you.
- Authorities, when required by law or a valid legal request.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and normally no longer than 24 months if you do not become a client. Client and billing records are kept for as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
6. How we protect it
We use reasonable security practices, including secure (HTTPS) connections, password-protected accounts and limited access to client logins. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will inform you and the relevant authorities of a data breach where the law requires it.
7. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to work, such as security and session cookies set by WordPress and our hosting provider. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies at present. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data we hold about you and get a summary of it.
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate data.
- Erase your data when it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law.
